Insurance
Your out-of-pocket cost will never be more than the cost listed above for the services you receive at Mid-Atlantic Psychotherapy. Sliding Scale Rates are considered on an individual basis, we encourage you to contact our Practice Coordinator for more information at admin@midatlantictalktherapy.com
We may be an in-network provider for your Anthem BCBS plan, BCBS PPO plan, CareFirst PPO plan or BCBS FEP plan. Otherwise, we are “out-of-network” providers and payment is due at the time of service. Upon request, we will provide you with a detailed “superbill” you can submit to your behavioral health insurance plan for reimbursement. Your insurance carrier can inform you at what percentage rate they will reimburse you. Contact your insurance provider for details.
We know that figuring out your out of pocket costs can be confusing. We will happily run a complimentary benefits check for you whether your insurance plan is in-network or out-of-network. All we need is a copy of your insurance card and your date of birth.
Cancellation Policy
Our team prioritizes your weekly appointments. Please provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice if you would like to reschedule a session. This allows your therapist to fill that time with another client who is waiting to be seen.
Failure to provide at least 24 hours’ notice or not showing up for a session will result in the full fee of your session being charged to your account. This charge cannot be billed to your insurance policy or included on a Superbill.
Appointments can be canceled directly in SimplePractice, by emailing our team at admin@midatlantictalktherapy.com, or by calling/texting 571-771-1989.
Commitment to Inclusivity and Anti-Racism:
A Statement from Mid-Atlantic Psychotherapy, PLLC
At Mid-Atlantic Psychotherapy, PLLC, we are dedicated to the ongoing fight against racism while embracing inclusivity with open arms. We deeply value diversity, equity, and inclusion, and strive for continual growth in our understanding of multicultural competency and anti-racist principles within our therapeutic practice and team dynamics.
Creating a nurturing and safe space is at the core of our practice, especially attuned to the needs of BIPOC individuals and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Recognizing our shared humanity, we acknowledge that mistakes happen, but our commitment to personal and professional growth remains resolute. We are dedicated to combating racism, nurturing inclusivity, and advocating for equity among historically marginalized populations. Each therapeutic relationship we cultivate and every session we conduct holds profound significance. We are dedicated to ongoing improvement, always seeking to deepen our empathy and understanding of the unique experiences and boundaries of those who trust us in their journey of mental wellness.
We affirm that the responsibility does not rest on our clients to educate us about their experiences as BIPOC or LGBTQIA+ individuals. Our aim is to create a space where they feel empowered to express their truths and boundaries freely, without fear of judgment. Feedback is not only welcomed but cherished, as it guides our journey of growth and understanding, both personally and professionally.
We firmly believe that as members of society, it is both our privilege and responsibility to continually educate ourselves, actively engage in meaningful training, and consistently refine our practices in matters of diversity, equity, and inclusion. This commitment underscores our unwavering dedication to providing the highest standard of care and advocacy for all individuals who entrust us with their well-being.
