If you live to be a hundred I want to live to be a hundred minus one day so that I never have to live without you.
– Winnie the Pooh
Beginning therapy can feel daunting, especially when life already feels overwhelming. Young adults navigating transitions, parents juggling countless responsibilities, and couples working through relational challenges often feel stretched thin. The thought of pausing to focus inward may seem like just another task on an endless list. Yet reaching out for support is an act of courage, one that creates space to step back, breathe, and reconnect with yourself.
Central to my work is an appreciation for the powerful connection between mind and body. I integrate biological, psychological, and philosophical perspectives to help clients deeply explore the patterns of behavior, thought, and feeling that have developed throughout their lives. Through this self-exploration, clients not only gain insight into themselves, but also learn practical, healthy coping strategies to foster meaningful and lasting change.
My approach is grounded in the belief that true healing grows out of a trusting and authentic therapeutic relationship. I am especially passionate about supporting young women as they navigate the unique and evolving challenges that can arise during adolescence and early adulthood. Experience and particular interest in this area has given me deep understanding of the social, emotional, and developmental pressures young women face, and I am dedicated to providing a safe, affirming space where their voices are heard and their experiences are validated.
Above all, I believe therapy is a collaborative journey. One that blends curiosity, science, compassion, and practical skills. I strive to empower each client to cultivate greater self-understanding and well-being, and to create meaningful change in their lives.

Stephanie is a master’s level counseling intern pursuing a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University. She is under the clinical supervision of Christina Moynihan, LICSW, LCSW. Stephanie’s professional background spans neuroscience research, the study of emotion regulation, and hands-on clinical training in research labs and community mental health clinics. More Than Just My Work
- A nice, long, hot shower. Nothing makes me feel safer and gives me a false sense of control over my world than being able to spend time taking care of and being with myself without feeling rushed or distracted.
- I LOVE word games! I do the Wordle and other New York Times puzzles religiously. It is a great way for me to exercise my brain in a low key but enjoyable way.
